WHOLE FOOD KITCHEN

Talk about leaving it to the last minute.

I decided to join in on Heather's Whole Food Kitchen once again. This year's course is all new content and yummy recipes and as I cook with her recipes quite frequently, I'm looking forward to adding to my collection.

I'm busy downloading module one as I type, so happy to be doing this for me.

HEATHER'S GRANOLA.

I made a batch of this delicious granola a couple of weeks ago. It's going fast, nearly time for another batch.

MARKET SHOPPING

Oh I love our weekly markets, the variety is awesome, the produce is fresh, a lot more local than any supermarket and 2/3's of this bounty is organic.   Why would you buy from a supermarket when this is at your doorstep?

All of this cost me $29, I would happily pay more for all of the above reasons.   If you have a market with fresh produce and haven't bought from them, try them out, more than likely you will be very happy.

BALI YOGA RETREAT

After years of dreaming about it, it will finally come true.   I have wanted to go to a yoga retreat for many years, I have talked it over with friends and family thinking that I needed to go with someone else and of course something would happen in either my life or theirs and then out the window with the plans.

For the first time I know I am ready to do this alone. I have a friend who would like to come with me but I'm pretty sure she will pull out when the time comes to book and you know what?   That's fine, I will be okay doing this alone.

After heaps of research I picked out , this company last year to do my retreat with and as I madly save my teaching money I am hoping to get over there by the end of the year.

So that is my exciting news, well i think it's exciting anyway.  My challenge is going well but i do need to put in a little more effort so today I am running up the tower with a good friend (haven't done that in a couple of months) so i should be ready for some yoga after that!

CHALLENGES

 source

I've set myself a couple of challenges and the one that started today was to do some cardio and yoga everyday for 10 days.  After the 10 days I will re-assess and work out where I will go from there.

Today I went for a walk/jog around the Blue Lake with my good friend Lynne.  It was windy and it rained but it felt so good.
So sorry for the quality of the phone photo!   As you can see we looked rather wet by the time we got back to the cars.

Tonight I did some simple yoga and it felt wonderful, yoga is a passion of mine that seems to have slipped by the way-side.  Not anymore, I will continue everyday even if only for 15 minutes at a time.

PS: I have some exciting news that I will share during the week.

GATHERING

Preparation is the key.

Absorbing knowledge

Planning routines and timetables

Bringing together equipment and music

Finding my space

These points are key for me re-joining my yoga journey.
