IT'S A SLOW TIME

in the garden. There's not a lot to show. The broccoli, carrots and peas are doing fine as are the beans in the hot house.
I picked the last of the spaghetti squash and a batch of beetroot today.

I also planted out heaps of garlic, hopefully I can get them to grow this year as last year they all rotted.
So with winter well and truely upon us, my patch has slowed down, too bad the weeds won't do the same. lol

FAMILY R & R

We spent a family day down the river.

We cooked a bbq, went bushwalking, toasted marshmellows, played with fire and just relaxed.

The bush peas are looking good.

The climbing peas are growing more every day.

Beetroot ready to be picked and cooked.

The last of the spaghetti squash ready to be harvested.

WASTE NOT.....

I can't stand wasting food but sometimes my good intentions just don't seem to be put into action.
Now that I get my box of organic produce delivered every Friday, I have made even more of an effort to use up every bit. Today I blanched then froze some veges that I know I won't get to use up before the next lot comes, it's just all about making that extra effort.
