WHAT'S GROWING?

At the moment my zucchini, pumpkins and spaghetti squash are growing visibly every day.

I really need to re-stake my tomatoes as they've all collapsed under the weight of the fruit, I wish they would hurry up and ripen.

My poor little watermelon and rock melons are waiting for some decent hot weather so I can plant them out.

and I have my first capsicum for the season growing.

I have planted out a bed of carrots and will plant another in a couple of weeks. We will be eating the last of our beans tonight and I will then plant beetroot in that bed. The corn is starting to form heads so hopefully we will be reaping the rewards from that bed in the next couple of months.

  1. Your garden is looking really good, Sue. You'll be glad to have all that fresh produce very soon. And you'll have plenty of tomatoes when they ripen! One of the reasons we plant a garden each year is to have some sort of "insurance" in times of need. Weather it's a natural disaster or whether it's purely economic, we try to be prepared and less dependent on "the system".

  2. Things are looking good in your garden. You will be drowning in tomatoes before you know it.

I love receiving comments and do try my hardest to comment back, sometimes though, life gets in the way.
