OOH AAH GLENN McGRATH

Are you sick of me talking about cricket yet? Sport is such a huge part of our lives and it takes up every weekend from Friday night through to Sunday evening for now. I really need some time in my garden, hopefully I'll find some soon enough.

Back to the title of this post.....
Glenn McGrath is in town for the weekend and the boys in the cricket program at the high school were lucky enough to meet and talk to him this evening. He is even nicer in real life and what an inspiration he is to the kids.

Of course I came prepared, I bought new cricket balls today for him to autograph and some white card for the boy's cricket albums. I'm not sure if I was supposed to let Lachie meet him but Glenn saw him right away and asked him to come up for a photo, the big boys didn't seem to mind. Lachie will get to meet him again on Sunday at a charity game he is playing, unfortunately I won't get to see him in action as I will be in Naracoorte with Dan for Kerr Shield all day.

Both boys were so happy to meet him and I think Lachie will be sleeping with his ball for a while.

On the pieces of card, Glenn wrote To Lachie (and To Dan) OOH AAH!!! (and signed)Glenn McGrath. How cool is that.

  2. Ooh Aah, indeed! I have long admired this man and I wish him lots of happiness in his life. I think the media should leave him and his lady alone.

  6. Wow. (though I have never heard of the guy) the boys must have been ecstatic. Hope both Dan and Lachie's games go well.

I love receiving comments and do try my hardest to comment back, sometimes though, life gets in the way.
