OH MY!!!

It has been a while since I last posted, sorry about that. I've been trying so hard to get Christmas and birthday gifts made that I completely forgot to chat to you all. The gym is going great, I'm really getting back in the groove and am going 6 days a week. My fitness is once again improving and I'm feeling stronger every day. I've dropped 4kg in the last 3 weeks and am well within my healthy weight range but would like to drop another 4 just as a buffer.

The garden is growing like crazy as are the weeds. We are having the weirdest start to Summer, it's very steamy and tropical, nothing like we are used to down here. I'm busy picking and planting out veges. My cherry tree has 3 cherries on it. YAH!!!! The tomatoes in the hothouse are huge and are taking over and my carrots and lettuces have bolted thanks to this silly weather. I will plant more carrots over the next few days. The next job will be to pull the garlic which is dying off nicely and make a commitment to plant something every week so there are never any empty beds.

  1. Hooray for the garden! (and for the gym and feeling good!). Oh, and for the cherry tree! Be sure to keep an eye out for ants, which could bring aphids to the tree, our cherry tree is looking very sad indeed after it's recent aphid/ant attack. This weather is really odd, isn't it!

  2. Enjoy your cherries. I have a cherry tree and it only had one fruit on it this year. I put a tulle bag over it to protect it from the birds, and my dog got it! He ripped the whole branch off, ripped the bag and had the cherry. Needless to say he was not a very popular dog for the rest of that day.

  4. Sounds like you are busy, busy, busy. This weather is taking it's toll on me - I hate humidity! I move... and I sweat! Your garden sounds like it's going gang-busters - my poor little tomato plants took a hammering last night in the high winds.

I can't seem to get into the Christmas spirit much. My girls want larger presents this year instead of lots of smaller stuff so I don't really need to go present hunting.

Well done on your fitness and weight loss, great progress.

    Cheers - Joolz

I love receiving comments and do try my hardest to comment back, sometimes though, life gets in the way.
